Highway India

There is so much to report

India is a fascinating country, not a moment goes by that is not a Kodak Moment...

We drove from New Delhi to Jaipur to Agra

India's Highway NH.
This is a highway, although only two lanes, but it is nevertheless a Highway

In our short journey
Our Tata-brand automobile drove past,
trucks, buses, trolleys, rickshaws, bicycles, camels, donkeys, cows, and monkeys.
Camels, would carry loads,
Sometimes, the trucks would carry cows,
Sometimes, the cows, just fended to themselves; walking along, across the roads

We drove past, processions of Hindu worshippers carrying colorful flags,
we drove past, a wedding procession with the groom decked out in white dress on horseback.

We drove behind large trucks, painted everywhich way, sometimes decorated like Christmas ornaments. They would have signs that say "Honk Please", because rather than driving in a straight line, you would honk to have the car in fron t of you move aside. We drove past, rice fields, surprisingly lush, which soon became the dessert.

Our driver Misra drove our small Tata automobile, with Hindu Hip-hop pumping from the stereo.
